Cancellation Policy
  • Where do I start?
If you have questions or are ready to book your first session, please fill out the contact form at the bottom of each page. You can also message me to schedule a free 15-minute consultation. You can also start a chat with me by clicking the "Let's Chat" window at the bottom right of each page. We can chat about what you are looking for, and I can answer any questions you may have. It is suggested to book three weeks in advance, as spaces are limited and go quickly. Consultations will be held online or over the phone.
  • I just booked my first appointment, now what?
Amazing! I'm looking forward to meeting with you or your child! You should receive a booking confirmation email shortly. A signed consent form is required before your session, so please fill one out and email it to me. You will find the consent forms on the Resources page. There are two forms, one for adults and one for children and youth under 18. Please fill out and sign the consent form that suits your type of counselling. The consent/intake forms are editable PDFs. All you need to do is download the file and enter your information into the text boxes provided on the document. Save, and email your completed forms to me at hoflandtracy@gmail.com If you’ve booked a virtual appointment, you will be emailed a secure link to join 30 minutes before the start time.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
If you are unable to attend a session, please provide 24 hours' notice through email, text or voicemail. The full session rate will be charged for cancellations with less than 24 hours notice that cannot be rescheduled within the same week.
  • Where is your office located?
To ensure the safety of myself and my family, the exact address will be provided upon booking since it is a home office. I am located in the North End of St. Catharines, but I also offer online sessions if my home office is inconvenient for travel. *Please note that as of May 8 2024 my office will be located in Niagara Falls.
  • What methods of payment do you accept?
Accepted methods of payment are cash, e-transfer and credit card. Payment is expected at the end of each session.
  • Are these services covered under insurance or benefits?
The services I provide are not covered through insurance or benefits, and this is because I am not a registered Social Worker. My background is in Child and Youth and Christian Counselling.
  • How old does my child need to be to attend therapy?
I work with children as young as the age of 5 because their brain is now developing executive function skills that are essential for learning and getting along with others. Although it takes time for these skills to develop, children are starting to notice their bodies responding to stress and can learn to cope with these feelings.
